Honda has unveiled its new electric SUV model, the e:N1, targeting the Indonesian market. The model, which was first unveiled at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2025), is an electric version of the Vezel (North American model name HR-V) sold in Japan. It features a design similar to existing internal combustion engine vehicles but was newly developed based on a platform exclusively for electric cars.

The e:N1 is equipped with a 150kW electric motor that generates a powerful maximum torque of 310Nm. It is characterized by immediate response and quiet yet powerful driving performance. Equipped with a large-capacity 68.8 kWh battery, it has secured a driving range of up to 500 km (311 miles) based on NEDC. This is a competitive figure among electric SUVs in the same class, and it provides stable performance even in long-distance driving.

The charging performance is also noteworthy. It takes 18 hours to charge from 10% to 80% with a normal charge, and 6 hours is enough with a fast charge. It also supports DC fast charging, allowing a 30% to 80% charge in just 50 minutes, optimizing it for long-distance and urban travel.

Sporty Design and Cutting-Edge Features

In terms of design, Honda’s signature sporty sensibility has been preserved. Full LED headlights, fog lights, and front sequential turn signals emphasize the sophisticated image, and 18-inch alloy wheels enhance the dynamic driving feel. While improving fuel efficiency through aerodynamic design, the car has not sacrificed any stylish elements.

Inside, the e:N1 combines cutting-edge technology with convenience. The 15.1-inch display audio system is fully compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing seamless connectivity. The 10.25-inch TFT digital instrument panel provides intuitive driving information, keeping the driver informed and in control. Premium features, such as leather seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and dual-zone automatic air conditioning, create a comfortable and luxurious interior environment.

Advanced safety specifications are also a feature. Honda Sensing, Honda’s latest safety system, is applied to detect potential dangers in advance through various sensors and cameras and assist the driver. This supports stable driving not only in urban driving but also on highways and plays a role in maximizing the safety of drivers and passengers. Honda plans to establish a solid position in the Indonesian electric vehicle market through the e:N1. It is expected to be a model that will play a key role in Indonesia’s future mobility ecosystem rather than just a simple electric vehicle.
