Kia has revealed the Carens Clavis, an upscale version of its fourth-generation Carens, available in select markets including India.

The Carens Clavis embodies Kia’s latest design language, mirroring the EV5’s aesthetic while featuring a host of cutting-edge technologies in this premium minivan model.

The Carens Clavis front fascia features a design reminiscent of Kia’s EV5, with distinctive C-shaped LED daytime running lights.

The headlamps include three LEDs within a triangular housing, with body-colored space between them. The grille, mounted on the bumper, enhances the vehicle’s contemporary look.

The side profile exudes robustness with black cladding and silver accents along the lower door panels, complemented by sleek door surfaces.

The rear features the star map signature design with vertically oriented taillights connected by a horizontal light bar, creating a striking visual effect. The lamp interiors include diagonal graphics for added flair.

The cabin features horizontal lines with an expansive dashboard and ambient lighting.

A standout feature is the panoramic display, combining a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with an infotainment system.

Comfort features include heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, an eight-speaker BOSE audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting. Optional upgrades include a smart air purifier with AQI display and Kia Connect 2.0.

Kia will offer the Carens Clavis with three powertrain choices. The Indian division plans a dual-track strategy with the existing Carens and the new Clavis to cater to a wide range of customers.

The lineup includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 160 horsepower, a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 115 horsepower, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine generating 116 horsepower.

Kia plans to introduce an electric powertrain variant, targeting the growing eco-friendly MPV market and expanding consumer options.
