Camaro, Charger, and Cybertruck? GTA VI Just Went Full Throttle

The release of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI), highly anticipated by gamers worldwide, has been delayed to after May 2026. Rockstar Games confirmed the new timeline in an official announcement and released a second trailer to further excite fans.

The second video, following the 2023 trailer, showcases more gameplay, introduces protagonist Jason Duval, and outlines the story. It keeps the Florida vibe with beer, boats, explosions, beaches, and chaotic street scenes.

Rockstar revealed the main storyline in the trailer. According to the official description, Jason and Lucia always knew the world worked against them. But when a simple heist goes wrong, they get caught in the darkest side of the sunniest part of the U.S. They must rely on each other to survive in a massive conspiracy across the state of Leonida.

One of the standout features of GTA VI is the realism and variety of the in-game cars. Rockstar meticulously analyzed Florida’s car culture and street scenery for this installment, resulting in the vivid portrayal of high-performance muscle cars, pickup trucks, classic cars, and tuned cars unique to the American South.

The trailer showcased various cars speeding on the road, with designs reminiscent of real vehicles like the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, Dodge Charger, Jeep Wrangler, and Tesla Cybertruck, though they are not real.

The vehicle details make full use of next-gen console capabilities. Sunlight reflections, dented panels during collisions, and dust and vibration effects while driving enhance the immersive realism.

Vehicle customization in GTA VI has been significantly enhanced compared to GTA V. Players can freely adjust performance elements like engines, brakes, and suspensions, as well as vehicle wrapping, spoilers, bumpers, roof boxes, and wheel designs.

In GTA VI, crime missions and cars are closely linked. Escape, chase, stealth, and transport gameplay will be more refined, with certain vehicles featuring mission-specific upgrades like bulletproof glass and reinforced chassis, adding a strategic element to vehicle selection.

The official GTA VI website revealed new screenshots and character details. Along with main characters Jason and Lucia, supporting characters like Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, and Dre’Quan Priest are introduced, expanding the game’s world.

The game features various explorable areas, including Grassrivers, inspired by Florida’s Everglades, Leonida Keys, based on the Florida Keys, and Vice City (Miami), a symbolic location in the series.

GTA VI is set to release after May 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox platforms. Although fans must continue to wait, the increasing flow of detailed information and videos heightens anticipation.
