Chinese automaker Geely, poised for its U.S. market entry, has inspired excitement by unveiling its new SUV at Auto Shanghai 2025.

Officially named the Geely Galaxy Hi-Tech Hardcore SUV, this concept vehicle combines classic SUV styling with a modern twist. Designed to be both rugged and refined, it features a robust structure and agile performance.

Measuring approximately 5m (197 inches) in length, this mid-size SUV boasts a solid build and an array of advanced features that promise dynamic handling and impressive power. Geely states that the vehicle’s side profile draws inspiration from the Chinese lion, embodying courage and boldness while blending Eastern aesthetics with a rugged, contemporary style.

Inside, the SUV is designed like a luxury yacht, featuring an innovative gear selector. Geely emphasizes that the vehicle is engineered for versatility, and capable of tackling various terrains and outdoor activities, including camping expeditions.

There was no response to criticisms that, although it is a concept car, its design is largely similar to the previously released Land Rover Defender.
