Porsche has outlined its plans for new vehicles as it prepares for the 2030s. The automaker has announced that it will develop a product lineup that combines three different powertrains: internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). As the global transition to electric cars is taking longer than expected, Porsche intends to expand its product portfolio in the coming years, adapting to the evolving automotive landscape.

The iconic 911 series will receive more emotionally driven variants, further enhancing the brand’s identity. In addition, Porsche is set to release special edition models, including limited-run versions and cars featuring a heritage design strategy. These will modernize the beloved 1970s style while capitalizing on the profitability of exclusive, high-demand versions.

Porsche has also committed to fully electrifying the Macan SUV from the outset. The Macan EV has already received praise for setting new standards in performance, driving experience, and design. The existing internal combustion engine models will be gradually phased out, and only battery-electric versions will be available worldwide.

However, the Cayenne will continue to offer both internal combustion engine and plug-in hybrid options. The fourth-generation Cayenne is expected to strengthen Porsche’s electrification efforts. The company has confirmed that, as of the 2030s, both internal combustion and electric vehicle models will be sold side-by-side.

Porsche is also expanding electrification within its 718 lineup, which includes the Boxster and Cayman. After launching the Cayenne EV, Porsche plans to introduce an all-electric version of the 718.

While the company moves forward with electrification, it maintains a strategy that preserves the value of internal combustion engine vehicles. With a diversified powertrain portfolio, Porsche is positioning itself to remain flexible and responsive to shifts in the global automotive market.
