On Tuesday, Kia reported that its global sales for February reached 253,850 units, a 4.5% growth in domestic sales and a 4.4% rise in international sales compared to February of last year. This total comprises 46,003 vehicles sold domestically, 207,462 units sold overseas, and 385 special-purpose vehicles.
The Sportage led Kia’s global sales chart with 46,287 units sold worldwide, followed by the Sorento and Seltos, which moved 24,173 and 24,040 units, respectively.
A Kia spokesperson explained that new models, such as the K4 and Shiros, were launched in the latter half last year and have been driving sales in key overseas markets, including the United States and India. These models contribute to Kia’s robust global performance. “We aim to maintain this sales momentum with the introduction of competitive new models like the EV4 and Tasman in the coming months,” the spokesperson said.
