Audi revealed the U.S. pricing for its next-generation mid-size electric vehicle (EV) sedan, the A6 e-tron.
The price will start at $65,900, which is more affordable than competitors like the BMW i5 and Mercedes-Benz EQE, which have attracted consumers’ attention.
Superior price competitiveness

The A6 e-tron debuted in Europe about eight months ago, and its U.S. pricing details were revealed. The base model costs $67,195, the Premium Plus trim costs $71,095, and the Prestige trim costs $73,495.

The A6 e-tron will be available with a standard rear-wheel drive, an all-wheel-drive Quattro version, and a high-performance S6 e-tron Sportback.
In the U.S., the Quattro version costs $67,900 for the Premium trim, $71,800 for the Premium Plus, and $74,200 for the Prestige. Audi adds that the S6 e-tron Sportback is priced at $78,700 for the Premium, $82,200 for the Premium Plus, and $84,600 for the Prestige.
Ultra Package maximizes driving range

The A6 e-tron is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which Audi and Porsche jointly developed. The base model has rear-wheel drive and delivers up to 381 horsepower and 420 lb-ft (57.6 kg·m) of torque.
The driving range is up to 631 km (392 miles) in the U.S. The maximum range is possible only with the Ultra Package, which includes 19-inch wheels and all-season tires. The high-performance S6 e-tron has dual motors that deliver 503 horsepower, accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and offer a driving range of 440 km (273 miles).

The A6 e-tron has a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery that supports 800V fast charging. At a maximum of 270 kW, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes.
PPE platform co-developed with Porsche

The A6 e-tron, based on the PPE platform developed jointly by Audi and Porsche, offers competitive pricing, performance, and range compared to the BMW i5 and Mercedes-Benz EQE.
The A6 e-tron is 4,928 mm (194.0 inches) long, 2,137 mm (84.1 inches) wide, including mirrors, and 1,487 mm (58.5 inches) high, with a wheelbase of 2,946 mm (116.0 inches). The S6 e-tron includes sport adaptive air suspension as standard, and the Prestige trim features digital OLED taillights.

Higher trims include LED headlights, digital daytime running lights, and interior ambient lighting. The Prestige trim also includes eight lighting signatures and adaptive air suspension.
