Lamborghini has announced two recalls for the Revuelto, the successor to its top-of-the-line Aventador. The recall, filed via Lamborghini’s website in August 2024, involved two vehicles due to fuel line placement issues. The two cars were determined to have a possible problem with the oil flange connection between the oil tank and the radiator.
The Lamborghini Revuelto caught fire last October after being driven 173 km (107 miles). Lamborghini decided to investigate the vehicle’s safety. As a result, it was reported that models manufactured between July 20, 2023, and April 12, 2024, could catch fire.
Lamborghini’s Latest Flagship: The Revuelto
The Lamborghini Revuelto is the sixth vehicle in the V12 lineup, unveiled to celebrate Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary. Revuelto means “chaos” in Spanish. It is a plug-in hybrid-based super sports car and Lamborghini’s first HPEV (high-performance electric vehicle).
Revuelto’s 12-cylinder engine and three high-density electric motors can produce up to 1,015 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.5 seconds. The launch price is about $535,714, and it was first unveiled in the South Korean market on June 23, 2023.
Supercars Not Immune to Recalls
What about past recall cases?
This is not the first time Lamborghini has issued a recall. The Revuelto’s predecessor, the Aventador, was also recalled due to transmission problems and engine fires. In the case of the engine fire recall, a defect was discovered that allowed gasoline to be sucked into the purge valve through the charcoal filter. This raised concerns about ignition and was a factor in deciding on the recall.
Lamborghini’s first SUV, the Urus, was also reported to have engine defects, a hood opening problem due to defective rivet studs while driving, and an entertainment screen deactivation problem. These problems were reported to have the potential to cause accidents, so a recall was conducted.

Lamborghini has dismissed the recall report as a problem affecting only a small number of Revuelto models, not all of them. As mentioned above, the issue is limited to two Revuelto vehicles, and the company has promised that improved production processes will prevent future Revuelto vehicles from experiencing the oil flange connection issue.
