Toyota has introduced the Hilux Champ, a multipurpose and customizable vehicle designed to adapt to various consumer needs.
The Hilux Champ extends beyond the typical capabilities of a pickup truck, offering an expandable cargo area. It also provides a sturdy platform for specialized equipment, making it a versatile option for commercial use.
Meanwhile, Toyota Astra Motors, Toyota’s Indonesian distributor, has unveiled a tuning package that converts the Hilux Rangga into a spacious three-row SUV, drawing significant attention.
The conversion kit, developed by aftermarket specialist Upfitter, gives the Hilux Rangga an off-road-inspired SUV appearance, showcasing its adaptability and rugged appeal.
The tuning package includes exterior panels, windows, second-row doors, and an upgraded interior with second and third-row seating. While the transformation is unconventional, it retains the Hilux’s signature durability.
The powertrain of the standard Hilux Rangga remains unchanged. Buyers can choose between a 136-horsepower 2.0-liter gasoline engine or a 148-horsepower 2.4-liter diesel engine. Both options are available with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, maintaining performance and versatility.
The three-row SUV conversion package for the Hilux Rangga is officially available through both Upfitter and Toyota Astra Motors.
